Christian Steindl is the new sales manager of Cargo Center Graz

Cargo Center Graz wants to shift more transport volume from road to rail with the expertise of the new sales manager Christian Steindl
 
Cargo Center Graz (CCG) announces a prominent new staff member. Former head of the Ennshafen port Mag. Christian Steindl is holding the function of the new sales manager since the start of October. Being s specialist for block train concepts he will boost the sales division and the shift of transport volume from road to rail. The focus lies on the development of block train concepts for the rail terminal in Graz Süd/Werndorf from and to the seaports of Koper, Hamburg and Bremerhaven.
 
“In Christian Steindl we are welcoming an absolute top professional in our team“, says Franz Glanz, managing director CCG. “We hope this personnel reinforcement to add impetus to the expansion of our offer for intermodal transport. To implement a further shift from road to rail, we have to develop more block train concepts along the north-south corridor to Koper.“
 
Opened ten years ago, the Cargo Center Graz (CCG) serves in a “PPP“-project (Private Public Partnership) as distribution hub for the Southeast-European economic region. This task includes the provision of efficient, competitive rail connections in the market, as well as bundling goods flows for north- and southbound forwarding, and strengthen local economic region. So far investments of EUR 200 million were implemented at the cargo terminal in Werndorf, and about 1,000 new jobs have been created.
