20-years-jubilee of Industrie-Logistik-Linz GmbH

Recent history of Industrie-Logistik-Linz GmbH marked by internationalisation and by promotion of continuous trimodal logistics chains

Since Industrie-Logistik-Linz GmbH (ILL) was established on October 1, 1993, the logistics company has covered all facets of supply chain management. From the point of view of Ralph Gallob, managing director, trimodality is playing a major role in this context. Also, introducing innovations runs like a thread through the history of the Linz-based enterprise with a total staff of 280 employees, lately generating annual turnover of about EUR 28 million. The Bavarian company Preymesser has been holding 51 per cent of the shares since 2006.

The recent history of ILL is marked by the introduction of internationalisation measures and by promoting the commitment in the market segment of continuous trimodal supply chains. Established in 2003, the subsidiary Industrie-Logistiek-Nederland B.V. (ILN) in Moerdijk organises inbound logistics for steel, as well as storage and dispatch logistics for the strip galvanising line of their customer Wuppermann Stahl. “Thus we profit from direct links to maritime and river shipping“, Ralph Gallob mentions an important detail.

In the growth market of Southeast Europe, ILL has been cooperating with IRL Logistica Romania S.R.L. for two years now. This subsidiary operates a rented warehouse in Giurgiu, "where we provide services in the field of supply chain management to German and Austrian customers, including transhipment services to destinations in Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey and the Mediterranean region", adds Ralph Gallob. Moreover he disclosed a plan to implement an investment in the industrial port of Giurgiu.
