CMA CGM puts new “giant of the sea” into service
Maiden journey of new 13,300-TEU CMA CGM vessel starts on 11 November It is named CMA CGM “Christoph Colomb“, has a length of 365 metres, a width of exactly 51.2 metres and a draught of 15.5 metres when completely unloaded. What is meant here is the youngest unit of the fleet of the French liner shipping company CMA CGM. Built in a shipyard in South Korea, the 13,300 TEU-container vessel completes the “giants of the sea“-group, according to a statement of the enterprise. CMA CGM will use the new vessel in a regular service from Asia to Europe that is operated in cooperation with Maersk Line. The maiden trip of “CMA CGM Christoph Colomb“ starts on 11 November in Shanghai.
