IMS starts „Swiss-Hansa-Shuttle“

„Swiss-Hansa-Shuttle“ by container operator IMS connects the German seaports with Switzerland

Der Containeroperator IMS – Intermove Systems (Vienna) has expanded their shuttle-train service in the seaport hinterland traffic with Switzerland. After an extensive preparation period, a direct train connection for unaccompanied intermodal traffic between Hamburg/Bremerhaven and Switzerland called "Swiss-Hansa-Shuttle" was launched on 14 December. The service complements the "Rhine-Shuttle", the product that was offered so far, between the Dutch seaport Rotterdam and Switzerland.

The "Swiss-Hansa-Shuttle" services the relations Hamburg CTA – Frenkendorf (v. v.), Hamburg – Rekingen CT (v. v.), Bremerhaven CT4/NTB/KLV – Frenkendorf (v. v.) and Bremerhaven CT4/NTB/KLV – Rekingen (v. v.). Local transport partners are in charge of transports to the other terminals in Hamburg and Bremerhaven.

Ex Rekingen CT, IMS also offers the so-called "Swiss Split" for pre- and oncarriage transports to all serviced stations and railway sidings in Switzerland. The shuttle trains from/to Hamburg and Bremerhaven transport box containers, open top containers, flats, tank-/silo containers and swap bodies in common sizes.
