Reorganisation in DB Schenker Kufstein management

DB Schenker Kufstein: Authorised signatory Josef Schneider follows Herbert Pircher as head of the branch in the Tyrolean lowlands

As of 1 January 2012 there will be a change at the top of the Schenker & Co AG management in the Kufstein branch: Herbert Pircher, who has managed the branch for 29 years, will retire. Authorised signatory Josef Schneider, an employee, will follow in his footsteps. It is his aim to continue the success story of the Schenker branch in Kufstein.

Josef Schneider willl be in charge of Schenker & Co AG business in Kufstein and Lienz in Eastern Tyrol. As successors of Hans-Dieter Salcher, Hannes Egger and Gerhard Aigner have been responsible for the branch in Innsbruck and overall Tyrol management since the beginning of 2011 (272 employees in seven locations) DB Schenker presently employs 67 people in Kufstein. The location handled about 192.000 consignments with a total weight of 78.000 tons as well as 517.000 parcels in 2010. In the last ten years they invested about 9 million Euros in setting up a logistics service centre with 11.000 palllet storage positions. The customers also have access to a 1.200 m2 block storage facility. Since January 2010 the DB Schenker Kufstein branch has operated an external logistics warehouse with 4.800 pallet storage positions in the commercial park Langkampfen-Schaftenau.
