CML sales rise 23pc

Sales at CML, the e-commerce logistics specialist, rose 23 per cent last year to £33.2 million while operating profit rose from £1.4m to £3.4m.

The company was taken over by Rhenus Logistics earlier this year. Andreas Plikat, managing director of Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Europe, said at the time: “We view the acquisition of Core Management Logistics as an investment in our expansion strategy in Great Britain.”

Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Europe already operates its own logistics centres in Germany, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands and Poland.

CML has three warehouses with over 45,000 square metres of bonded warehouse space at Magna Park, Lutterworth.

Rhenus Group has more than 600 locations worldwide and turns over some €4.8 billion.
