Company acquisition strengthens Galliker Transport AG

Fresh food logistics: Merger of Galliker Transport AG and LRG Logistics SA results in a homogenous food logistics network in Switzerland

Galliker Transport AG took over the transport division of the LRG Group (Laiteries Réunies Genève) in western Switzerland, further expanding its food logistics segment. Since 13 April LRGL charges its partner Galliker with some of its transport orders, who in turn handles the logistics for the fresh products via the platform of LRGL in Bannwil (BE).

This alliance strengthens the positions of LRGL and Galliker within the market and enables both companies to offer a wide range of services in logistics and transport of fresh products, which will be better adjusted to the customers’ requirements, they state in a press release.

La Fédération des Laiteries Réunies de Genève originated from the cooperative association of around 210 milk producers in the cantons of Geneva, Vaud and the French border zone in Switzerland. The LRG Gruppe AG is a holding company based in Plan-les-Ouates (GE) and is in charge of the production, sale and distribution of milk, cheese and dairy products.

LRG Logistics SA, a subsidiary of the LRG group, offers full range logistics for fresh products throughout Switzerland to the companies of the LRG group and important Swiss and foreign brands.
