Continental Tyre selects Kuehne + Nagel in South Africa
Kuehne + Nagel has taken over the management of the plant warehouse operation for Continental Tyre SA at its production premises in Port Elizabeth.
In the scope of the new contract, Kuehne + Nagel supports Continental Tyre’s original equipment and aftermarket dealer business in the South African market.
The logistics provider receives tyres from production and carries out quality control checks, and is responsible for storage, inbound and outbound handling, picking and packing, inventory management as well as management of empty containers.
Kuehne + Nagel will also provide an external warehousing solution for overflow volumes in Port Elizabeth.
Kuehne + Nagel already provides integrated logistics services for Continental Tyre in Thailand.
