Court approves closing of Intermontana AG

Creditors of Intermontana AG receive minimal quota

An important decision in the insolvency proceedings of the Intermontana AG in Radfeld in Tyrol has been made. At the request of the liquidator Ms. Dr. Ingrid Hochstaffl the court has approved the complete closing of the company. “There was no more basis available for an organised long term operation. This, also given the fact that the parent company Rumplmayr KG in Ried, which is in the bankruptcy, and associated companies – also partly insolvent – give no reason to expect any more synergies“, the KSV (Austrian association for the protection of creditors) wrote in a paper.

In the proceedings creditors have so far claimed for about EUR 14 million. These debts will be reduced by the proceeds of sale of the company’s premises in Radfeld (estimated value about EUR 2.4 million). “Creditors can expect a single-digit percentage quota“, the KSV estimates.
