Cray Valley HSC Introduces New Trade Name for Metallic Monomers

Cray Valley’s Hydrocarbon Specialty Chemicals (HSC) group is introducing Dymalink® as the new trade name for its metallic monomers previously sold under the Saret® name and the SR product designation. The name change applies to about 25 products. The Dymalink trade name becomes effective on June 1, 2012.

Cray Valley’s parent company Total sold the Saret name and SR designation when it divested itself of Sartomer USA LLC on July 1, 2011. The sale included a transition window for renaming the products.

Dymalink metallic monomers from Cray Valley HSC are used as co-agents and adhesion promoters in rubber products, such as auto belts and hoses, where adhesion and dynamic properties are critical. Dymalink monomers are commonly used in peroxide-cured formulations. They also help achieve very high modulus in many sulfur-cured formulations.

Globally based in Exton, Pa., Cray Valley USA LLC is part of Total’s chemical branch. Cray Valley provides hydrocarbon resins, Norsolene® and Wingtack® tackifying resins, along with Poly BD®, Ricon®, Krasol® and SMA® resins. These products are used as compound additives for adhesives, rubber and other applications. For more information, visit www.crayvalley.com.
