CTL: we are at our best
Successful year for polish freight operator CTL’s market share has reached almost 10% after three quarters of 2009. The largest polish independent freight operator’s performance in terms of carried tonnage shows a 15% rise year-on-year. The Company’s representatives declare that CTL is currently at its best growth-wise and shall focus on maintaining the strong market position on the coming quarters. CTL has carried 16% more tonnage in the IIIQ , equivalent to 4,2 mln t, whereas the transport effort has risen by 15% and amounted to 982 mln tonkilometres. The Company’s representatives do not plan any further significant investments aimed at augmenting handling capacities in spite of the current 100% train utilization. After three quarters of 2009, CTL carried 23% more tonnage-wise than in 2008 ( equivalent of 12,5 t ), whereas the transportation effort went up by 19% ( 2 765 tkm ).
