Dachser deploys Antonov AN 124-100 for heavy cargo transport ex Graz
Dachser to organise transport of a 95-tonnes generator from Graz to Tampa, US-state of Florida, by the end of October
these days the team of Dachser Air & Sea Graz is chartering an Antonov AN 124-100 aircraft to transport a 95-tonnes generator (Stator). Graz airport is supporting the team of international forwarding company with this project.
For loading one of the largest aircraft in the world, special equipment was made or rented within a very short time: heavy-lift cranes, special low-loader – module trailers and a specially fabricated steel substructure, which in the shortest time – was built – according to the specifications of the airline.
The generator was manufactured in Styria and is to be transported from Graz to Tampa, United States. From Florida the local Dachser branch will organise the further transport of the heavy cargo shipment to the end customer, who counts among the world’s leading companies in terms of energy supply.
