Dachser enters market in Singapore

Dachser group opens new national company in the Asian economic metropolis Singapore with 20 employees:

 

The Dachser group is continuing its worldwide expansion course and has opened its own national company in Singapore. This makes the finance and trade capital the eighth country in Asia for Dachser, where the company is now represented with 55 branch offices. Services offered by Dachser Singapore Pte. Ltd. range from air and sea freight transport and contract logistics solutions to customs clearance and project consulting. There are currently working 20 employees of the wholly owned subsidiary of Dachser. By the end of the year the number of employees should increase to 30. “Singapore is one of the most important logistics hubs in the world.

Goods from all over Southeast Asia are dispatched from Singapore, and this metropolis is also the headquarters for many international companies,” Thomas Reuter, managing director of Dachser Air & Sea Logistics, emphasises on the strategic importance of the location. The company is headed by Managing Director Matthew Ong and Detlev Janik, chief executive officer at Dachser India Pvt. Ltd. The company has a branch at Changi Airport and an office in the west of Singapore. Dachser has branches in Asia in Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand, and employs about 1,250 people there.
