DB Schenker in the UK makes charity donation

No Christmas cards last year, donation towards unique brain injury centre

In keeping with the last two years, Schenker Limited will not be sending Christmas cards to its customers in December 2009; instead it has made a donation of £2,500 to The Children’s Trust.

The charity was chosen after they cared for KAM Co-ordinator Ash Vohra’s baby son who spent a number of months receiving specialist nursing and therapy treatment at the centre.

The Children’s Trust provides care, education, therapy and rehabilitation for children with multiple disabilities, complex health needs and acquired brain injuries. It is reknowned for being the UK’s largest brain rehabilitation centre and is based on a 24 acre site at Tadworth, Surrey but offers its services to children from across the UK.

Ash represented Schenker Ltd at the handover of the giant cheque to the Trust’s Corporate Fundraiser, Holly Newman outside the unit where his son was treated. You can find out more about the work of The Children’s Trust by visiting www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk
