DB Schenker sets new standard for Serbia’s logistics market

New DB Schenker logistics terminal in Stara Pazova near Belgrade has video surveillance and storage space for hazardous goods

DB Schenker’s new logistics facility in Serbia has started operating on 13 April. The location offers customers state-of-the-art technology for specialised logistics solutions and puts an emphasis on the long-term expansion of DB Schenker Logistics in Serbia’s market.

The new logistics terminal in Stara Pazova is situated 25 kilometers from Belgrade and 50 kilometers from Novi Sad. It is located directly at the E-75 motorway, in the immediate vicinity of the Belgrade airport Nikola Tesla. “Through this modern facility we set a new standard for Serbia’s logistics market, and are able to quickly respond to customer requirements and offer efficient handling“, says Kurt Leidinger, CEO, DB Schenker in Austria and Southeastern Europe.

According to DB Schenker Logistics the more than 3,000 m² terminal meets the highest requirements regarding technology and environment. In addition to a high rack warehouse the facility offers also space for special containers, e.g. storage of hazardous goods. An innovative ventilation system provides constant storage conditions, notwithstanding external effects and weather conditions. To guarantee an optimal protection of the goods, current safety standards such as comprehensive video surveillance is used.
