Delta Cargo launches service for the automotive industry

Delta Cargo’s “Variation Wheels“ allows transport of cars on international flights of Delta Air Lines:

Delta Cargo added a new service to its portfolio. With its “Variation Wheels“ the air cargo department of the US airline Delta Air Lines offers with immediate effect a service for the transport of cars on international flights. The offer is available on the international routes ex Atlanta, New York JFK and Detroit, operated with Boeing 767-400/300 aircraft.

“Variation Wheels“ addresses car manufacturers in the first line, but is also open to private customers. The first order brought a Ferrari F430 from London-Heathrow to Atlanta. Neel Shah, Chief Cargo Officer Delta: “This is an exiting, new product. We expect a strong demand from car manufacturers and forwarders from both sides of the Atlantic Sea."
