DHL enhances LCL connectivity between India and South Africa

DHL has announced the launch of a new direct LCL service from Nhava Sheva, Mumbai India to Durban, South Africa.

Operated by DHL’s in-house carrier, Danmar Lines, the new service will offer customers reliable, quick and cost-effective services between the two ports.

Africa is emerging as a key market, with freight volumes between India and Africa expected to grow significantly in the coming years.  Trade between India and Africa almost quadrupled in the last five years, from US$9.9 billion in 2004-2005 to US$39 billion in 2008-2009.
