DHL Freight launches new offer for urgent general cargo shipments
Day-definite service by DHL Freight to link all regions on the European continent from September
The freight division of Deutsche Post DHL expands their offer for general cargo transport in Europe. In an interview with the paper Frankfurter Allgemeine Amadou Diallo, CEO DHL Freight, announces the start of a new product line for urgent general cargo. They will launch a day-definite service in early September, allowing day-definite delivery for pallets in all regions in Europe. This service line is like an express service for freight –precise and fast –the manager says.
The objective for the near future was faster growth in the market, explains Amadou Diallo. Therefore DHL Freight reorganised the sales and other segments. Annual volume handled in the freight segment is about 45 million tonnes, according to the DHL manager.
