DHL Freight opens new trans-shipment terminal in Germany

DHL Freight has opened its 678,216 sq ft freight hub in the Airport Business Park in Langenhagen, near Hanover, Germany.

Freight for both its Europe-wide all-in-one groupage service Euroconnect and DHL Freight’s Eurapid premium day-definite groupage service will be handled at the trans-shipment terminal which has 86 loading bays and employs 290 people.

“The opening of the new Hanover-Langenhagen freight terminal adds another important hub in European overland transport,” said Uwe Brinks, chief executive at DHL Freight.

“The combination of a convenient location and innovative technologies makes this new future-oriented freight trans-shipment centre an important growth driver within our network.”
