DHL launches Next Day Express service from Hong Kong to Europe
DHL Express expands air route system between Europe, Asia Pacific and Middle East Launching three new new air express routes between Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific, thelogistics group DHL Schritte is taking steps to expand its leading market position in the global cross-border express business. As a special innovation the company started an earlybird connection from Hong Kong to Leipzig. The new routes are served by AeroLogic, the joint venture cargo airline operated together with Lufthansa Cargo. Ken Allen, Chief Executive Officer of DHL Express, emphasizes that the lately induced measures respond to the high demand for express transport of goods and documents between key markets in Europe, Asia Pacific as well as the Near East and Africa. The network expansion is accompanied with the start of operation of AeroLogic’s 7th Boeing 777F aircraft. By launching the earlybird connection from Hong Kong to Leipzig DHL Express serves one of the most important markets in the world with a westbound next-day delivery service .
