DHL Supply Chain accompanies Perleberg to Austria and Switzerland
Provider of greeting cards and gifts Perleberg renews and enhances its cooperation with DHL Supply Chain
Perleberg, a provider of greeting cards and gifts prolongs its contract with DHL Supply Chain by another three years. In the course of the renewal of the agreement two new countries were added to the cooperation. In future DHL Supply Chain will supply also Perleberg’s customers in Austria and Switzerland, including individual order-picking for retail traders from the Alpine countries at its site in Unna.
Since July 2007 DHL Supply Chain operates a 4,500 m² logistics warehouse in Unna on behalf of Perleberg. The complete logistics for Germany is handled in this facility. The concluded prolongation of the contract is accompanied by a program to increase efficiency and improve utilisation values. The introduction of a uniform package size for all products makes more space available in the logistics centre.
On behalf of Perleberg DHL Supply Chain organises storage, picking, distribution as well as the construction of sales displays of about 6,000 different articles in Unna – mainly greeting cards, but also sweets, beverages and gifts. The goods come from Asia and Europe.
