DPD parcel service forms joint venture in India

CEP-specialist DPD enters into Indian market

The international parcel and express service DPD expands its network to India. The DPD Continental-company was just established in New Delhi. The enterprise is a joint venture between the DPD majority shareholder GeoPost (60 per cent) and the Indian partner Continental Air Express (40 per cent). At first the new enterprise offers services in the economic centres of India: Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkatta.

We are now directly represented with the DPD-brand in the Indian growth market and are now able to expand our service portfolio step-by-step. The establishment of the DPD parcel service on the Indian sub-continent opens our European customers access to an important growth market ”, Arnold Schroven, Chief Executive Officer of DPD, commented on the commitment in India.
