Innofreight expands customer circle in northern Europe

Innofreight acquired new customers for biomass transports
 

Innofreight Group based in Bruck/Mur in Styria evolves into a special provider of systems to handle biomass transportations on the rail in northern Europe. During the last weeks, new large-scale customers for biomass transports were acquired in Sweden and Finland.

In September 2009 new transports in Sweden will start with Green Cargo for StoraEnso and Söderenergi. SCA Norrbränsle in Sweden has already used the WoodTainer System since 2008, in Finland UPM and Jyväskylä-Energie trust into the transport system. Altogether Innofreight deploys already 800 containers in Sweden, Finland and Norway.

The Styrian Innofreight Group of companies developed the innovative transport technology WoodTainer, which is successfully used in the European paper, cellulose, wood and energy industry. With 20 employees the group generated a turnover of EUR 6 million in 2008. The year 2009 is dedicated to the market entry of the WoodTainer with a hardtop cover, suitable for transportations of moisture-sensitive bulk goods.
