Austria loses “old-school freighter“ His friends and companions always praised him as an „old-school freighter“ – but this is now past. At the age of 87, Dr. Ernst Demand passed away in peace on 17 July 2009, strengthened by the sacraments of the Church. Ernst Demand had been one of the most respected representatives of the transport industry in Austria for a long time. During his active career he controlled the fate of a company, which is today an integrated part of a reputable international transport logistics group. Being an official of the Chamber he showed constant commitment to the interests of road transporters.
