DTC Emo-Trans opens logistics hub for shipments from East Europe

New station of DTC Emo-Trans in Nuremberg to serve as a hub for global ocean and air freight transport

DTC Emo-Trans started operating a new hub in Nuremberg. The new station allows faster and more efficient consolidation handling of shipments from East Europe. From there mainly goods from the automotive segment are bundled since early July, and shipped throughout the world as air or ocean freight, informs the enterprise in a press release.

The lion’s share of shipments joined in the new hub in Nuremberg come from Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and the Czech Republic. The consolidated freight is then loaded to containers and carried via the container terminal Nuremberg on the railway to the ports of Rotterdam and Hamburg. From there the company sends the freight to destinations all over the world.

The joint venture DTC Emo-Trans with its headquarters in Nuremberg was established in 2010. DTC and Emo-Trans are equal shareholders of the company, specialising in transportations to the U.S. and China. More global destinations are being approached from the hub in Nuremberg via air and ocean freight. In the U.S. Emo-Trans runs 31 locations.
