Dual honours for AMI
AMI, the world’s largest trade-only freight wholesaler, received two accolades in this year’s prestigious IFW Freight Industry Awards. AMI won the Business Improvement category, sponsored by Barclays Bank, after demonstrating dramatic growth in the past year, resulting both from increased sales and the acquisition of companies in the USA, Australasia and South Africa. The company’s winning submission was chosen by a panel of experts from the freight industry. Meanwhile the company’s Express division was also shortlisted as a Finalist in the Express category sponsored by EWS Network; this award is based on the votes of IFW’s readers. Peter Weir (AMI’s Senior VP) and Sharon Wright (AMI’s VP Europe) received the Business Improvement Award from famous actor and adventurer Brian Blessed, at a glittering ceremony in London attended by 600 senior freight industry representatives.
