ECMT permits: just a few days left to apply

There are now just a few days left for hauliers to apply for ECMT permits, which would be needed to continue operating in the European Union in the event of a no-deal Brexit.

The deadline for applications is 11.59 pm on Friday, 21st December. Permits will be allocated early in 2019.

The Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency said: “Permits are not allocated on a first come first served basis, so you can apply at any time during the application period.”

Companies that want to apply must be registered on the online Vehicle Operator Licensing system to apply.
