Expansion of toll charges for trucks in Byelorussia

With immediate effect: Byelorussia integrates four more routes into the network of toll routes for international road cargo transport

Byelorussia has expanded the network of toll routes for heavy truck traffic. Since 1 August 2014 roads with a total length of 256 kilometres in Byelorussia are chargeable, as informs the Austrian working group of international road transport enterprises Arbeitsgemeinschaft Internationaler Straßenverkehrsunternehmer Österreichs (AISÖ).

According to the announcement of the toll operator Bel TOLL, this new measure concerns the following roads: M 5 (Minsk – Gomel), M 6 (Minsk – Grodno), die M 7 (Minsk – towards Lithuania) and R 1 (Minsk – Dzerzhinsk).

The toll road network in Byelorussia now covers 1,189 kilometres. All trucks of more than 3.5 tonnes as well as cars from countries outside the Eurasian customs union are obliged to pay tolls.
