F.S. Mackenzie opens trailer transport from Western Europe to Iraq

Express Trailer Service of the F.S. Mackenzie forwarding group from Great Britain and Germany to Iraq is to start with two departures per week

A new F.S. Mackenzie trailer service will connect the economic centres of Western Europe and Iraq, particularly Kurdistan, twice per week. It will transport general cargo and less than truck loads. The service is based on a partnership with Iraq’s leading forwarding and logistics service provider – Mateen Express.

F.S. Mackenzie organises departures from the hubs in Dortmund and the British Basildon to Mateen Express’ hub in Erbil, Iraq. The route uses the ferry connection from Trieste to Mersin, Turkey, where the trailers continue their way to Iraq on the road. There will be no reloadings.

Alfred Stienen, Managing Director F.S. Mackenzei, names the hub in Dortmund a point of consolidation for consignments from Germany and other EU-members. Apart from machines, machine parts and equipment for the oil and gas industry they accept also accompanying cargo from other forwarding companies, he emphasises in a press release.

Mateen Express is a full range provider of forwarding and logistics services in Iraq. The enterprise has five branches in Iraq (Erbil, Bagdad, Basra, Suleymaniyah and Duhok), supported by one station in Dubai and two offices in the People’s Republic China.
