FedEx Express to buy 50 Boeing freighters

FedEx Express has agreed to purchase 50 Boeing 767-300F aircraft, with the option to purchase an additional 50 767F aircraft.

The express operator now holds a total of 106 firm orders for 767Fs from The Boeing Company through fiscal 2023, with the latest order set to be delivered between 2018 and 2023.

David J Bronczek, president and CEO of FedEx Express, said: “Acquiring additional 767F aircraft is a continuation of our very successful air fleet modernization program and will enable us to reduce structural costs, improve our fuel efficiency and enhance the reliability of our global network.”
