Transport logistician cargo-partner sets another sign to boost the use of electro mobility With an innovation the forwarding company cargo-partner, which is based in Fischamend near Schwechat, intensifies its environmental strategy. In addition to biogas trucks, electric fork lifts and fuel saving trainings for all employees, an electric car is used for the first time at the forwarding company. It is the Tesla Roadster, the only electric car that is currently available in Austria apart from the Think-Car. Equipped with a 288 hp engine, the completely CO2-free sports car accelerates silently and fast like the wind from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds. He is currently used for customer appointments and transfers simultaneously the message of environmental responsibility. However, for overland transportation this innovative driving technology is not yet applicable. Due to the fact that the network of charging stations is barely available, the reach of almost 400 kilometres is still too small. Nevertheless cargo-partner CEO Stefan Krauter is quite optimistic regarding the future of electro mobility. He “is ready to pay a higher price as soon as electronic vehicles are available for goods distribution with sufficient reach”, as he announced at the presentation of his new acquisition.
