JF Hillebrand: Slightly improved results in the year 2009

Beverage logistics specialist JF Hillebrand Group plans to consequently continue their growth strategy

Also in the 2009 crisis year JF Hillebrand Group AG maintained their position as a market leading provider of services for international beverage logistics. Although the group’s turnover dropped by one tenth to EUR 567 million due to the fierce decline of sea freight charges (minus 13 per cent), which was about the 2007 level. “In total however, we achieved a positive gross profit from forwarding activities. This circumstance – combined with the cost initiative that was started as early as at the end of 2008 and declining financing costs – lead to a pleasing result for 2009 which was slightly above last year’s figure", said Kevin Brock, CFO of JF Hillebrand Group AG.

The enterprise continues its growth strategy in 2010. After the purchase of the British forwarder ABV Logistics, JF Hillebrand Group has taken over their longstanding local partner ISC in Malaysia at the beginning of this year. The uptrend, which became visible in the last third of the past year, has continued throughout the first quarter of 2010 for the total group and beat their expectations.

Founded in 1844 by Johann Friedrich Hillebrand in Mainz, JF Hillebrand Group has evolved into a market leading service provider in the international beverage logistics industry. A global network with around 1,460 employees at 46 locations provides customers a broad range of transport, warehouse and information services for wines, beers and spirits.
