Qatar Airways continues to expand its cargo fleet. During the Dubai Air Show the airline placed an order for two more B777-200 freighters with Boeing. CEO Akbar Al Baker signed the agreement. The Qatar Airways cargo fleet is currently including six aircraft – three Boeing 777s and three Airbus A300. Including the already ordered machines and the latest order, the number of freighters will rise to eleven units in the coming four years; eight of them B777F jets.

The cooperation with Europe’s largest freight airline Cargolux enabled Qatar Airways to strengthen its cargo network lately. They are serving more than 20 freighter destinations around the globe, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, Frankfurt and Amsterdam amongst them. Boeing 777 plays a decisive role in the company’s continuous search for new growth options in freight business.
