WeissBuch3: The long history of Gebrüder Weiss

Heidi and Paul Senger-Weiss present a colourful history of the logistics enterprise Gebrüder Weiss.

An interesting book of specialist literature about the Austrian forwarding industry was recently issued. In their „WeissBuch3“ Heidi and Paul Senger-Weiss present the long and moved history of the traditional Austrian logistic enterprise Gebrüder Weiss.

Gebrüder Weiss is Austria’s oldest, family owned forwarding company. The just published WeissBuch3 illuminates the company’s history on 280 pages – from the early beginnings as a transalpine courier service in the year 1474 to the global logistics group today. According to the editors covers the roots of transport and a tight symbiosis between production, trade and traffic, the establishment and development of the enterprise, to the very personal views of Gebrüder Weiss.

The new WeissBuch3 was presented on 25 June in Fußach (Vorarlberg). This is the place where the success story of the enterprise had its beginning. “I believe that the love of mobility must have played a major role“, explains Heidi Senger-Weiss to answer the question about the basis of the family’s more than 500 years lasting entrepreneurial transport activity. In the eyes of Paul Senger-Weiss mutual trust is a main pillar of the continuous success over several centuries. „Trust precedes business“, Paul Senger-Weiss says about the quintessence of 36 years of experience of networking.

The recently released WeissBuch3 was published by Heidi Senger-Weiss and Paul Senger-Weiss. It is available in the Christian Brandstätter Verlag publishing house (www.cbv.at).
