Hangartner GesmbH Austria changes name
Hangartner GesmbH Österreich to be integrated into Schenker & Co AG from July 2010 Hangartner GesmbH is abotu to face a big change. The enterprise is to be integrated into Schenker & Co AG (Vienna) by this July. This step is part of a European-wide process. All business activities of the Hangartner group will be continued by DB Schenker. In this context the combined transportations will be joined under the product name “DB Schenkerhangartner“. In Austria this integration affects the production, the „Danube Nordic Shuttle“ between Wels and Rostock v.v. and certain forwarding and logistics projects in greater Vienna. The contact persons will remain the same for all services also after the entry of the Hangartner company into Schenker & Co AG, including Robert Berkovics for combined transport and Alexander Kastanek for forwarding and logistics projects. The European-wide melting of companies is DB Schenker’s initiative to tie road and rail transportations efficiently to more economically combined solutions. “Even now there are around 4,000 block trains per year on the north-south axis between Scandinavia and Italy. This, based on own terminals in Domodossola and Verona as well as 4,300 own load units are operated on behalf of customers from the paper, white products, furniture and beverages industry“, the Management Board of Schenker & Co AG announces in a press release.
