FedEx launches new India – China connection

FedEx Express has introduced a new flight to provide a direct connection between India and the FedEx Asia Pacific hub at Baiyun International Airport, Guangzhou, Southern China.

The new service will boost the increasing trade between India and the Asia Pacific region. The APAC region accounts for around 27% or India’s exports and 32% of imports. China is India’s largest trading partner, with bilateral trade expected to exceed $60 billion this year.

The new dedicated A310 flight connects Guangzhou, Mumbai, New Delhi and Guangzhou five times a week, effective January 4th.

The flight provides significant service enhancements for customers in India and other regions in Asia, including:

  • Next-Business-Day document service from Asia to selected postal code in Mumbai.
  • For FedEx International Priority Freight shipments and high-value shipments from Asia to India, transit time will improve by up to two business days and for FedEx International Priority Freight shipments from India to Asia, transit time will improve by one business day.
FedEx has operated a direct Delhi – Shanghai service since 2005. Since then, FedEx has introduced several service enhancements, including a significant expansion of its domestic express services in India and FedEx Import services for Indian importers, as well as a flight from Bengaluru establishing direct connections between key markets in South India to Europe, Middle East and the US.
