FMS takes pleasure in its “Austrian subsidiary“ ILG (Linz)

Fr. Meyer´s Sohn: Joint enterprise “ILG Innovative Logistics Group“ (Linz) initiates a move towards general cargo

“The company is working excellently and shines with great ideas that are being implemented“,FMS managers Thomas Eisenblätter (General Cargo/Projekte), Alex Koßmehl (forestry products), Helge Staubinger (finance) and Manfred Simanowski (spokesman of the board) say in the interwiev with the Austrian logistics magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung.

They are talking about the ILG Innovative Logistics Group, based in Linz, which was founded in 2012 as a joint venture of Fr. Meyer´s Sohn and a team of the sea freight specialist Wolfgang Klepatsch.

The service range of the ILG forwarding company covers concepts for intermodal maritime container transports tailored to the customers’ requirements as well as operations in the segments of Heavy Lift & Breakbulk, FCL Shipments and General Cargo.

Established in 1897 the private enterprise Fr. Meyer´s Sohn (GmbH & Co.) KG with its headquarters in Hamburg and about 35 locations worldwide, provides customised logistics services in the segments of forestry, recycling and general cargo with a focus on sea freight (LCL, FCL, break bulk). The company has about 600 employees, generating turnover of EUR 600 million in 2013.
