Gebrüder Weiss enters Macedonia with own branch

New Gebrüder Weiss location in Ilinden near Skopje

Opening their own location in Macedonia Gebrüder Weiss Group (Lauterach/Vorarlberg) eliminates a white spot on its location map on the Balkans. The station in Ilinden near Skopje started operating on 12 October. “By taking this step we are able to offer our customers continuous quality and more service from and to Macedonia. Moreover an own office allows us a better positioning of GW services in the market“, says Thomas Moser, Regional Manager south-eastern Europe of the logistics enterprise.

One month after the official start-up the Macedonian GW location with 6 employees under the management of Saso Dimoski will offer four weekly transport services from Sofia and two from Vienna. The location has already started customs clearance and distribution for customers like HP, Daikin, Grundfos and Bosch. As for organisational matters Gebrüder Weiss Skopje is assigned to the national company in Sofia (Bulgaria).

In Macedonia Thomas Moser sees a large potential in distribution and procurement from and to Western Europe. Warehousing logistics and logistics solutions will be boosted by the investments of western companies. Therefore Gebrüder Weiss plans to expand its service portfolio on the medium term and to start operating an own logistics facility.
