Gebrüder Weiss: First details about the new product „GW pro.line“

Product innovation „GW pro.line“ makes Gebrüder Weiss’ European transports even more attractive

The transport and logistics service provider Gebrüder Weiss with its headquarters in Lauterach offers its customers a new product in the field of general cargo and groupage freight as of 1 March. The major innovations are daily departures from and to all locations as well as defined transit times. This is backed by the approach to improve the efficiency of the transport network and to optimise existing structures.

GW CEO Wolfgang Niessner sees ”GW pro.line” as an important step towards making their European transports even more attractive. ”All general cargo and groupage freight transport activities are now being consolidated. Uniform standards and integrated process chains will improve our efficiency and provide several key benefits to our customers,” he confirms in a press release.

“GW pro.line“ is the first product line with standardised services in the Gebrüder Weiss company’s history. Defined door-to-door transit times, daily departures, consignment tracking via Track & Trace, online proof of delivery and transit time monitoring form the basis. Optionally, extra services such as delivery notification, cash on delivery, hazardous goods and customs clearance are offered. The product line GW pro.line consists of a Basic module, which has been launched on 1 March, and further Premium products, that are due to follow later this year.

”With the introduction of GW pro.line, our customers benefit from improved services. The main focus is on reliability, calculability and speed. Moreover, we can maximise the potential of our locations by connecting them closely and seamlessly with Europe,” explains Walter Konzett, Head of Product Management Overland Transport.
