GEFCO expands in Turkey

GEFCO Turkey is extending its logistics network and will now offer a 24/7 service from its new warehouse in Ankara (Anatolia) – Turkey’s largest logistics centre.

According to Fulvio Villa, managing director of Turkey, the company makes deliveries from Ankara to all the towns in the territory (east of the Black Sea and eastern Anatolia) within 24 hours.

GEFCO saves time and improves efficiency by completing cross-dock operations at night.

The company has further investment plans for Izmir and Mersin.

In other news, GEFCO Belgium is managing the renewal of 1,750 vehicles for Belgacom. The vehicles will be used for on-site service and repairs.

GEFCO will take delivery of the new vehicles, make interior conversions, ensure vehicle compliance, fit logos, install GPS systems and handle final preparation.

GEFCO’s non-workshop tasks will include vehicle registration and roadworthy tests, the production of wallets for vehicle papers and reception by Belgacom.

GEFCO has the space required to store and process vehicles, expertise ranging from bodywork and interior fittings to vehicle reception and compliance, as well as the meticulous follow-up of formalities.
