Geis Group receives award

Bavarian international logistics provider Geis won award in the "business-oriented service provider" category

The international Geis Group, with its headquarters in Bad Neustadt in Franconia, has been awarded the Bavarian Quality Prize 2011. The Bavarian Minister for Economic Affairs Martin Zeil handed the award in the middle of this week to representatives of the Geis Industrie-Service GmbH for its "exemplary quality standards and concepts" in the "business-oriented service provider" category. Within the Geis Group, Geis Industrie-Service GmbH manages contract logistics activities, such as internal logistics, distribution and spare parts centers, as well as industrial assembly plants.

For Geis Industrie-Service GmbH customer orientation and service quality are always key issues, as Martin Zeil emphasised in his speech. It was also on account of this, why the prize was awarded to the Geis Group. The Bavarian Quality Prize has been awarded to Bavarian service providers, retailers, skilled trades and industrial companies by the Bavarian Ministry for Economic Affairs since 1993.

Since it was established in 1948, the Geis Group has grown into a global full-service logistics provider, employing around 3,400 persons at 87 company-owned network and logistics sites across Europe. The owner-run company offers its customers a wide range of logistics services, including conventional road transport, global air- and sea-freight, and complex logistics services.
