Changed competencies in DB Schenker Logistics Management Board

DB Schenker Logistics: Redefinition of management functions of Dr. Thomas C. Lieb and Dr. Detlef Trefzger

Competencies with the Management Board of the globally acting forwarding group DB Schenker Logistics were redefined, effective 1 May. Dr. Thomas C. Lieb, CEO Schenker AG and previously also in charge of worldwide air and sea freight, will concentrate on his function as Chairman of the Management Board. The focus of his activity will be the further expansion of key customer service, which is structured according to industries, as well as the operative direction of the management regions. The regional managers of the worldwide organisation are directly reporting to him.

Responsibility of air freight and sea freight will be passed to Dr. Detlef Trefzger, who is also a member of the Management Board of Schenker AG and in charge of worldwide contract logistics and supply chain management. This change is part of a long planned new structure of the Schenker AG Management, which has become crucial for the further expansion of worldwide business with the network of more than 2,000 locations in more than 130 countries, as DB Schenker Logistics explains in a press release.

“The new structure will help us to develop our position in the market and our offering for customers“, says Dr. Karl-Friedrich Rausch, CEO Transport and Logistics DB Mobility Logistics AG and Chairman of the Supervisory Board Schenker AG.
