GO! Czech double their space in Prague

The GO! Czech headquarters moved into a new facility at the logistics area in Hositvice – on the western border of Prague. With its close proximity to the D 5 and D 6 motorways as well as the Prague ring road, the new location offers optimal transport connections for both domestic and international shipment processing.

Some 370 m² of modern office space and almost 1,000 m² of warehouse and hall capacity – twice as much as at the old location – provide ample room for the ongoing network expansion in the Czech Republic, which constitutes an important component of the company’s internationalisation.

The move had become necessary as shipment volumes had risen continuously in recent years and the capacity limit of the old location was reached. In particular, the rise in deliveries for online retail, which GO! Czech Republic is increasingly taking on, accounts for the growth.

Last year the route was expanded to reach Brno so that in addition to the Prague and Plzeň stations, the metropolitan areas of Olomouc, Ostrava, Hradec Králové, Pardubice and České Budějovice are now also served by the GO! network with a one-day transit time.

GO! Express & Logistics is Germany’s largest independent provider of express and courier services. The global partner network was founded in 1984 and currently includes over 100 GO! stations in Germany and Europe. 1,400 employees and 3,000 couriers ensure the transport of some 5.5 million shipments each year. The Czech Republic has been a partner of the GO! system since 2002.
