B&S Logistik GmbH has been shining on the railway for 10 years
Together with late Alexander Skobierski, Walter Leitgeb has founded the railway company in B&S Logistik GmbH in Vienna in September 2007, which today is one of the largest providers in this market segment.
In particular its independence gives B&S Logistik a considerable strength as a supplier of innovative logistics systems for block train traffic. “We have access to all railway companies and can therefore choose the best partner for each project,” stressed Managing Director Walter Leitgeb and his colleague, Ing. Martin Kausal, in their conversation with the logistics magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung.
Since it was founded the company has become an internationally operating railway logistics specialist with 20 employees at its own locations in Vienna (head office), Salzburg (since 2008) and Bratislava (since 2011). The volume carried on the railway totals 1.2 million tonnes (2017) for the wood, paper, chemical, agricultural, steel and automotive sectors in Sweden, Belgium, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, Italy, and the Czech Republic.
“Thanks to our large purchasing volume, we ensure railway freight on all relevant routes for marketable prices”, Walter Leitgeb and Martin Kausal affirm. “We want to develop together with our customers. We are also happy to accompany the companies into new markets,” they add.
