Greencarrier buys majority of Transpoint International Poland

Acquisition of Transpoint International shares in Poland opens access to new opportunities in Central and Eastern Europe for Greencarrier Freight Services

Transpoint International in Poland has a new majority shareholder. The Swedish forwarding company Greencarrier Freight Services acquired a majority shareholding in the company and its subsidiaries in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The shares have been purchased from the Managing Director of Transpoint in Poland, Mr Arkadiusz Prejna, who will retain the remaining shares.

For Greencarrier Freight Services International the acquisition consolidates its position as an international transport and logistics service provider, apart from increasing the staff by approximately 80 new employees. In the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland Transpoint International provides services in the segment of groupage, part- and full load traffic with Finland, Scandinavia, the Baltic States, the UK and Turkey.

Thanks to the acquisitions Greencarrier Freight Services headquartered in Gotenborg grows to 425 staff at locations in twelve European countries and in China. Annual turnover will amount to about EUR 175 million in total. The enterprise is affiliated to the Greencarrier Group, which has 700 employees generating a turnover at about EUR 336 million last year.
