Greiwing group helps plastic industry to gain more flexibility

Greiwing’s granule technological plant in Wesel is integrated part of holistic logistics for the plastic industry

Greiwing logistics for you GmbH has constructed a granules technological plant in Wesel with an investment at EUR 3,5 million. The facility is one of a kind in Germany and offers apart from flexible storage and packing of granules particularly professional process engineering for the individual preparation of particular mixtures. „Combined with our granules technological plant producers of plastic products may organise their production process independently from the fluctuations of the market. It is just this freedom in production that gives them the decisive advantage in the international competition“, says Klaus Beckonert, Managing Director of Greiwing logistics for you GmbH, when he presented the facility.

The granules technological plant in the industrial area Wesel-Ost consists of two halls with a floor space of 4,500 sq. m. in total as well as of several process engineering plants for plastic granules. The services are ranging from storage (110 aluminium silos for unpacked granules and 1,500 pallet slots for packed mixtures) to sorting, homogenisation, drying, packaging, palletising and labelling. As a logistics service provider Greiwing organises also all previous and subsequent transportations for customers. The company searches up to ten new employees to join the 40-persons staff.

Greiwing logistics for you GmbH with its headquarters in the Westphalian Greven is an internationally active specialist for complete solutions for silo logistics. The service offer ranges from storage to handling, conventional and combined transport. The transported goods are e.g. food such as rice, sugar, cocoa powder as well as their primary products and technological goods with a focus on plastic granules. The family-controlled enterprise Greiwing has more than 400 employees at eight German locations, generating an annual turnover of around EUR 80 million.
