Hermes extends UK ParcelShops with Payzone

Hermes has teamed up with consumer payment network, Payzone, to launch myHermesParcelShops at more than 1,000 of its UK outlets.

The company already has myHermesParcelShops at more than 700 Payzone stores, but will now specifically choose 1,000 more, based on a range of criteria, such as extended opening times, parking, and population breakdown, in a bid to maximise parcel volumes.

Payzone believes the new deal will provide increased footfall and great revenue for retailers.

The selected Payzone shops will be provided with branded POS, and be featured on the myHermesParcelShop finder.

“We are confident that these additional locations will meet our high standards in terms of quality, location and availability,“ said Rob Edson, chief financial officer at Hermes.

„We see our relationship with Payzone as a strategic partnership – the tie up will be instrumental in accelerating the growth of our ParcelShop estate and ultimately providing greater multichannel choice and convenience for our customers in 2014 and beyond.”
