Hermes to use Doddle stores

Hermes is to make use of Doddle to expand its click and collect network in the UK.

Initially ten Doddle stores in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Brighton, Norwich and Glasgow will join the 4,500-strong myHermes Parcelshop network offering customers additional click & collect locations, as well as drop off points for online shopping returns and myHermes parcel shipping.

Doddle has been developing its network of shops mainly at major railway stations and now has 43 sites around the country. Hermes expects to add the remaining Doddles sites to the network by the end of the year.

There will be no additional charges for customers using the myHermes ParcelShop services at a Doddle store.

Over the past year, the number of parcels passing through myHermes ParcelShops has risen by 47 per cent. Martijn de Lange, COO of Hermes, said: “Choice and convenience is at the heart of Hermes and we are committed to building on this through innovative technology, significant investment in our infrastructure such as a new £31m super hub in Rugby and by partnering with like-minded organisations.”
