H&M transfers more tasks to Damco

Damco acting as SCM partner of H&M in India and Pakistan

The globally acting textile retail chain Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) enhances its cooperation with the logistics service provider Damco in two new procurement fields. Being the partner for supply chain management in India and Pakistan the company of the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group is now in charge of consolidation of deliveries on the Indian continent. Until now Damco operated in this field on behalf of H&M in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Vietnam and Thailand.

Damco is the new umbrella brand for supply chain management and forwarding services of the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group. The global organisation which is available to render these services consists of 10,500 employees in 272 offices in 93 nations, who handled 587,000 TEU of ocean freight and more than 60,000 tons of air freight last year. This resulted in a total turnover of USD 2.8 billion.
