Hödlmayr wins major order for vehicle conversion
Conversion of 300 production vehicles to military vehicles underlines the capability of the family company Hödlmayr in the segment of vehicle conversion
These days Hödlmayr International started to tackle one of their biggest individual orders for vehicle conversion in the company history: Within three months they will convert 300 production vehicles to military vehicles. The scope of the order includes also mounting of special underrun protection, bedliner, cable winch, difflock, trailer coupling and many more components. “To us this order means a great sign of confidence of the importer, and approves of our capability in the segment of vehicle conversion“, says Christian Pötzelsberger, manager of this project.
Hödlmayr International AG and its subsidiaries in fourteen countries have more than 1,350 employees, operating storage space for 75,000 vehicles, 550 special vehicle transporters and ten block train concepts. The corporate group based in Schwertberg, Upper Austria, has lately generated annual sales of about EUR 190 million. The company delivers about one million vehicles per year in total. Hödlmayr is acting as a releasing agent (take-over forwarding agent who is also responsible for the entire quality control of new vehicles) in six car factories, processing about 550.000 new units per year in this function.
